The upcoming iPhone 17 series from Apple already looks like it will be different from the current versions, notably the striking iPhone 17 Air, assuming that is indeed its name. But according to a recent source, the iPhone 17 Pro might not appear like what previous leaks indicated.

In his most recent Power On email, Mark Gurman of Bloomberg claims that the new Pro model would resemble the iPhone 16 Pro more than many anticipated. Gurman contends that Apple has mainly maintained the design after the release of the iPhone 12 in 2020.
“We’re finally going to see another design shift with the release of the iPhone 17 Pro later this year—alongside the slimmer iPhone 17 ‘Air’,” Gurman says. Since the 2020 generation, which included 5G, these gadgets represent the biggest design update.
I wouldn’t anticipate a drastic, daring redesign, though. The iPhone 17 Pro will resemble the iPhone 16 Pro in appearance from the front.
The rear will see the most change, particularly in terms of the camera arrangement.
He goes on to describe how the back of the phone will look different—and his predictions match other recent rumors: “The latest renders online show a large camera area at the top of the phone, featuring the same triple-lens layout Apple has used since the iPhone 11 Pro.
But this time, the camera module sits on a new panel that stretches across the entire width of the phone,” he explains.
However, the colour is where current rumours may be incorrect. “On top, a dark black camera block of a silver iPhone back is one example of a two-tone design,”.
